Picture Book Bonanza!

In spite of my frequent complaints that there are no good picture books to read, I have accumulated quite a pile of story time successes and gorgeous books for review from publishers that I have to tell you about.  Out of the fifteen books I gathered to write about, they divide nicely into toddler titles and picture books that are a bit longer and more complex and great for older listeners/readers.

I hope you will find a few books from these many to add to your collections.  I know I've found a few that I plan to stock up on for gift giving occasions.  So, sit back and enjoy the plethora of picture books that awaits you for the next to weeks.  Meanwhile, I have a HUGE pile - well, piles, really - of chapter books to read!

PS - This photo is of Adobe Bookstore in San Francisco which, allowed all the books in the store to be arranges by color.  The temporary "exhibit" by artist Chris Cobb, titled "There is Nothing Wrong in the While Wide World," went up in 2004.  Here is a link to the story on NPR if you'd like to learn more about it.
