Picture Book Week and Books That Make Great Gifts Week!

I have to start by sharing the coolest kid's book  review I have ever seen. Vera Brosgol, author of the fantastic graphic novel Anya's Ghost, reviewed the brilliant TOON BOOKS debut graphic novel The Stone Frog in the New York Times Sunday Book Review today. This is also an issue of the Book Review not to be missed, as it features the 60th annual Best Illustrated Children's Books of 2012, and a slew of other reviews of books worth buying and reading.

Also, I want to let you know that next week will be picture book week featuring some really wonderful titles and, for the first time ever, I have had the foresight to feature a week's work of reviews of kid's books worth giving BEFORE DECEMBER!! Yup! I've got a pile of beautiful, creative, crafty books that I've been saving up just for this purpose. From stocking stuffers to boredom busters that will keep the kids out of your hair over winter break so you might get a chance to curl up with a book of your own somewhere cozy... And, of course, gorgeous pop-up books and art books that kids and adults will adore. So stay tuned!
