Giant Vehicles by Rod Green, illustrated by Stephen Biesty

Giant Vehicles is the fantastic new book by Rod Green, illustrated by the master of cross-sections, Stephen Biesty. Eight enormous, real-life vehicles. From the Super Train to the Airbus A380 to the biggest helicopter, rocket, cruise ship, submarine, container ship and, of course, the massive dump truck on the cover, a Caterpillar 797F.

Although this is a board book with flaps to lift, this is not a book for little hands. Each vehicle gets a two page spread with chunks of information all over the pages. There are cross sections in each illustration and the flaps lift to reveal even more interesting inside elements and more information, like how the various elements of each vehicle work together. Giant Vehicles will definitely satisfy kids who love cars and trucks and things that go!
